Test My Blog

Hey you’ve found test my blog.

I don’t know how you found this blog it must be by mistake, you see this is a private test  blog that I’ve set up to test different methods of obtaining traffic, setting up different Word Press features and other thing.   I set up this site so I have somewhere to Test My Blog thus the name.

It’s for my own benefit benefit really so I have somewhere to go to quickly and easily find information I deemed important to develop my blogs and websites.  Unless you’re a member of the Keyword Academy I doubt you’ll find the notes here very helpful, they are mostly in my own shorthand.

As a member of the Keyword Academy and if you’re interested in learning more about the Keyword Academy, they hold weekly and monthly webinars on a variety of traffic and monetization  methods to help their members earn recurring monthly income.

As I go through the webinars I’ll be posting my own notes here, they are for my own benefit so I have a quick reference point in as I progress in building my sites.

I am currently trying to set up a number of niche sites to generate online income.  If you’re interested in learning more about the keyword academy you can read more about it here.

I don’t consider myself an expert so unfortunately I can not answer any questions you may have about my posts, they are compiled for my benefit only.
I highly recommend you join TKA if you’re interested in learning more about build blogs or websites to generate passive income online.

The first step I’ve taken is to register this domain, install Wordpress and make my first post.

The first thing I wanted to do was set up a customized SEO Wordpress theme, that seems to be what is recommended. So I suspect my next post will be to do with setting up my Word Press properly.

Before I go I should mention while reading the forums I noticed you need to change the Permalink structure so I will be going to:

Settings>Permalinks  then selecting the Custom feature and pasting the following code into the box: /%postname%/

This is supposed to allow my page title to appear after the website url instead of the ugly Word Press configuration, from what I understand from the webinars it should help with Search Engine rankings  and searchers looking for answer to their questions or organic traffic.

Submitting to EzineArticles.com

Login to your account:

1. Choose a Category for your article.

2. Enter your article title mentioning your keyword would be best.

3. In teaser box 2 short sentences is enough, quickly summarize your article.

4. Enter your article text in body section.

5. In keyword box enter keyword and cousins or similar.

6. In Sig box use 2 links, see instructions/notes below.

Sig Box Sample:

John writes articles that teach personal loans for doctors and also about other types of personal loans.
Personal loans for doctors are very risky types of loans, so educate yourself well before taking one out.
All personal loans have inherent risk.

Put in the link i.e. 1. <a href=http://yoururl.com/> Personal loans for doctors </a>
<a href=http://yoururl.com/> Your Keyword Goes Here </a>

Put in 2 links: Don’t link to homepage twice, so point one link at homepage and the other at your post url
so the second link would look something like this:
<a href=http://yoururl.com/your-post-url> Personal loans </a>

Thanks Court for another helpful video clip!

Writing Articles

Articles should be 400 words minimum, Grizzly recommends longer articles.  I will experiment with varied length to test.  You need 5 articles per site with 6-7 tags each and atleast 3 categories to get minimum 30 pages in Google.

6 to 7 tags per post

3 Categories – doesn’t matter what the cateogories are called, just make them make sense to a reader is likely best.

Keyword density: The keyword will be in you post title.

Mention the keyword 2-3 times in your article as well as the cousins researched.

The keyword should also be used as a tag, not sure if that was in it’s own article or in another.

Page Set Up:

Tag line: Mention Keyword

Privacy: Writing: Make sure it’s set to ping

Reading: Maximum 3 post – make your main keyword aritlce sticky with the other 2 posts showing excerpts only.

Keyword doesn’t have to be in the title but I would think it wouldn’t hurt.

The Category names are unimportant according to Court but says you can use keywords but not necessary, again, I would think it wouldn’t hurt to use keywords as category titles or atleast incorporate a variation of the or a keyword in Category title.
